OCALA MOUNTAIN BIKING
Be sure to check out the “Land Bridge” at some point — this one is the first in Florida, and crosses a major interstate. It’s used by both riders and wildlife, so be sure to keep an eye out. Black bears use the land bridge as a major corridor, so always exercise caution when crossing. That said, it’s a one-of-a-kind landmark that’s absolutely beautiful to witness.
It’s also worth noting that the old canal is the connector to all of the neighboring parks navigating towards the final destination, which is the popular and historic Santos trail system. Thrill-seekers for intense technical trails may want to forgo the Greenway experience and head straight to Santos as their destination spot.
